Termite Removal

Termite removal can be done in a number of ways. Termites can be removed through chemical treatment of the soil which is the creation of a chemical soil barrier between the soil and a wooden property that is in contact with the soil. Other Termite removal methods include; termite baiting, termite colony elimination, building modification and maintenance.

One of the most popular termite removal chemicals is Termidor. Termidor is particularly used for subterranean termite removal chemicals they are potent and can kill termites immediately they come in contact with them. Termidor termite removal chemicals will not only kill termites, it will also stop them from coming back with its long-lasting lethal effects on treated areas. Termite baiting is the most popular termite removal methods, Termite baits are used to create a chemical barrier between wooden surfaces and the soil. They can be applied before and after termite infestation.

The physical removal of termite nests from structural cavities is quite effective but only for a relatively short time as the termites will always come back if such cavities and structural parts are not treated with chemicals. Physical termite removal procedures may mean that you have to uproot or burn off tree stumps and some moisture-laden grasses within your environment.

Termite removal can be done chemically by using an arsenic dusting treatment which can be applied to the affected timber areas in the roof, you can apply arsenic agents also to house trenches , dig around the foundation walls and piers below the house and premise before spraying the arsenic agents into those areas until they are saturated. Ensure that the drill holes in the internal concrete slab areas especially where the floorboards have been removed are thoroughly sprayed with arsenic agents.

Termite removal can be done physically by first flushing out the termite nest with warm or hot water at temperatures of between 80-120 degree celcius depending on the nature of the materials to be treated. Hot water treatment can create a temporary difficult situation to termites before the termite removal procedures are performed.
